A focused week where I dig into the problem, sketch wireframes, and deliver high-fidelity mockups for one main flow.

Good fit if you’ve stalled on a key screen or need something polished for an investor demo.

Testimonials

What clients have said

“We’d been through it. Multiple developers, multiple redesigns, nothing that stuck. By the time Erick came in we were a little skeptical. Six weeks later the storefront finally looked like the clothing, and the mobile checkout stopped the bleeding we’d been ignoring for years.”
The TWC Team The Wakilisha Collection
“Erick took a genuinely complicated product and turned it into something a normal person could use. The design system he handed our engineering team was thorough enough that they could keep building without him in the room every day. The whole stretch was the smoothest design engagement we’d run.”
Cain Co-founder, Kakeru Finance
“Our old site had been falling apart for a year. Slow, getting flagged as insecure, looking nothing like our brand. Erick rebuilt all of it in a month and slipped a working shop in on top. It finally feels like ours, and honestly we love working with him.”

When the work needs more than design

For projects that need real engineering, I work with Steven Hagene at Semper Digital Solutions, an SDVOSB-certified development shop. Steven and I have been working together since we were on the same product team at Computershare. He brings 10+ years of full-stack production experience, with a network of strategists, developers, and designers he can pull in when a project calls for it.

Together that covers design, front-end, back-end, and infrastructure under one timeline, without the overhead of a bigger agency. BizNav, featured above in Selected Work, is one such project: I owned the design and front-end, Steven engineered the app.

About

How I work

I came to UX from graphic design, which is why I care as much about how something looks as how it works. The part I enjoy most is figuring out what someone is trying to get done, then getting out of their way. I also sweat the parts a lot of people skip, like spacing, wording, empty states, and the order things load in. That’s usually what separates an interface that feels solid from one that feels cheap.
